Patrick and I had such a fun time feeding Avery her first solid meal! She had rice cereal with a touch of applesauce. Overall, we think it went pretty well! She definitely made a huge mess and some funny faces. Enjoy the pictures, there are a lot! (Admittedly, I went overboard with these pictures but I really thought that they were all so cute so I just couldn’t pick!)
Avery did very well at the doctor today. She had to get 4 shots but only cried for about 10 seconds. Phew! Here is where she sits in her 4th month of life: 14 lbs. 7 oz (The exact inverse of her weight at birth!) 75th percentile, and she is 25.75 inches long - 95th percentile. The doctor said she is very long….looks like she got her daddy’s height! We were given the go ahead to give her rice cereal and if she does well we can integrate fruits and veggies. I am hoping for some hilarious photos of her first time eating “solids”…so be on the lookout!
Avery Jayne is 4-months old today…hooray!! She is becoming such a big girl. She sleeps great, eats great and has most recently been impressing us with her ability to roll from back to front, front to back! Also, whenever she is laid on her back she strains her neck trying to sit up! Her vocal talents are also improving and she often has us cracking up, listening to her version of chatting. So hilarious! It’s hard to believe that only 4-months ago she was brand new! Avery will go for her check up tomorrow. I will be sure to post her stats then!
…I told them to fold the laundry, not fall asleep in it! Here’s Wilson & Avery snoozing in a pile of laundry on the couch. (I put her there so I could prepare her bottle but by the time I mixed up her formula she was fast asleep with Wilson cozied up next to her….they slept there for hours!)
I love the Cubbies!
