3.7.08The final countdown…

by Quinn

Today is my last day of work before I go on maternity leave! I can hardly believe that this day, March 7, 2008 is finally here. It’s been on my calendar for months and is the “last” big thing that needs to happen before baby arrives! It almost feels surreal! I had a hard time sleeping last night, thinking about this day. Even though I am so glad to have this time off and will hopefully have the opportunity to rest….it will be a very strange feeling, waking up on Monday, and just NOT going to work!!! I am excited to be home with Wilson, full-time. I keep telling him that I am now his stay-at-home-mommy for the next three months or so! Call me crazy but I think he is really excited about it. Ha!

    Hi Quinn,
Your site is so cute! Glad that you are able to rest on maternity leave now. I hope everything goes smoothly and I can’t wait to see photos!

Congratulations on your last day of work for three months. After 37.5 years of working at one place and finally retirement, I kept waking up at 5:30 AM. Gosh, my body clock just would not turn off. Take advantage of sleep now and enjoy resting during the day too. Won’t be long before you will be on the fly with Avery’s arrival. Love, Mom Barb

Yay!!!! Willy better enjoy his time with you before he has to share it with Avery. I can’t believe you are sooooo close! I can’t wait (probably not quite as much as you can’t wait)!

Today is officially your first Monday off yea…..welcome to the Monday off club…..isn’t it wonderful! Cherish the next couple weeks….make them all about you because when Avery comes as wonderful as being a mom is, it will be all about her for the rest of your life! Truly take some time to pamper yourself, go see a movie, enjoy a good meal out, and take long hot relaxing showers (mom showers are really short because there is so much to do!).
    The Ventimiglias are so excited!
